EASTER cupcakes are here at last! I never had this kind of dessert at Easter. All I received as a kid was weird candy and those deviled eggs. Yuck.
These adorable cupcakes were actually made for a Navy bake sale only to be licked, smashed, and semi-eaten by 5 year olds.
Their parents will pay for it later when the sugar reaches new heights, and the kids will be jumping off the ceiling.
The cupcakes are Pink Velvet with buttercream frosting and fondant decorations. As usual, I only use Fondarific!
When covering the entire cupcake with fondant, I put a layer (not too much) of icing on top of the cupcake and then I place the fondant. It makes a nice hold, and I think it tastes better.
